A Bristol Siddeley-Maybach MD655 engine, from a BR Western Region Class 52 diesel-hydraulic locomotive, under stationary test at Swindon Works. Taken on an open day, Saturday 13th September 1975. The engineer in charge ...a white-coated, bespectacled, middle-aged man... sat behind the window of a control room at the top of a flight of steps. From time to time he would notch up a handle on his console to increase the engine revs, which were displayed as flickering red numerals on a screen. In the confined space this produced a most satisfying din.

To realmente cansado de linguagem vetorial. Vou ficar algum tempo sem produzir nada nessa linha.
To com vontade de pintar, e ansioso para voltar a desenhar (a lápis), se alguém tiver algum bom livro para indicar, ficarei feliz.

My first Lego stop motion test. I think it came out quiet well. Constructive criticism is appreciated. Link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPgIoIowYoA
August 30, 2012: As part of the requirements for graduation, MIT students must pass a 100-yard swim test or sign up for an introductory swim class during a mandatory session as part of Orientation when they arrive on campus. Students can also complete an optional "boat test," which requires them to tread water for 10-minutes, to be eligible to use the Sailing Pavilion.
Tests with a Lomo anamorphic 2x lens. Will not achieve infinity focus apparently. Still interesting, though.
Basically I just held the anamorphic element up in front of my Nikon 85mm f/1.8 and there was no way to get it to hold focus properly.
Interestingly, the 2x squeeze coupled with the 3:2 ratio of the D700 yields a 3:1 widescreen image, which is wider than any of the anamorphic cinema images. Even Cinerama was only 2.89:1. If this actually worked it would be pretty cool.
Testing sharpness, focus and bokeh of my Zenit Helios 44M-5 58mm adapted in my Nikon D5100.

Test with Industar 69, Chajka's Kit Lens, which is m39 screw but with shorter flange than LTM. I had to file down a m39 to m4/3 adapter at about 1mm for it and now I have infinity focus.
The IQ is so so, and I'm a little disappointed, as I was expecting to have from it the same image quality I have from my Industar 50 and Industar 61L/D.
Taken with my new Ricoh GRD III. I went out at lunchtime today and had a walk around sheffield. I was looking to test the performance of this amazing little camera.
All these shots are straight out of the camera.
Testing, testing. Lorenzo on the Monday after Brno. The bike is this year's livery, so it will be the current 800cc engine - unless they're getting sneaky! ;-)
Close-up focus test of the new Nikon 1 V3 stock kit lens "NIKKOR VR 10-30mm". These tomatoes are only about 1.5 inches wide (3.81 centimeters).
Testing Lamy ink for review. This is a test on an index card. See the notes for what the bits are. Next pic in the photostream is more testing - same stuff in a Moleskine, and the PigPog Smudge Test.
The plan is to do this same pattern with a few different inks, as a way of comparing. If anyone's got any ideas on better ways of doing it, I'd love to hear them.

Layers and paint and removed paper create patterns on a concrete wall in Brooklyn
There isn't really a lot to say about this photograph, but there might be a few things to ask. This was more or less a quick "grab shot," taken while walking not far from the waterfront at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, where it isn't uncommon to find places where various signs and billboards have been posted and then removed.
So, what you are looking at here is the result of various layers of paint and the after-effects of material that was glued to the walls and then removed. I think it is interesting to ask what you see in these patterns when you look at them. The more I look the more I see, but I won't try to convince you that what I see is the "right" thing to notice, and I think that lots of other interpretations are possible — or that you might even choose to simply see it as a place where stuff was removed from a black and green wall!
