I've recently posted a YouTube video about the similarities and differences between different Takumar 50/1.4 versions...here...
Once You Feedback You Never Go Back #1
Dod FX69 was my fist distorsion pedal, this model has been bought in the 90’s during the Grunge Hype. It’s a shame DOD brand has now ended as they have been making such interesting pedals through the years.
This is a tutorial to share with you how I used it often to create interesting feedbacks because of its high gain availability. « Whales-ish » I would say but one can find many other words.
Enjoy !
Shot with a SMC Takumar 50MM 1.4
Waiting on deliveries today, but I wanted to shoot. So... let's shoot some gear!
Haven't done anything but some test shots with this lens, but it resolves a crazy amount of detail and has a very warm color rendition. Very slight highlight glow when stopped wide open. No where near as pronounced as with older lenses of fewer elements and no coatings, but there none-the-less. Lends images a modern/vintage feel.
The image was taken with the excellent and very modern 50mm F2 Fujinon.
