This is a topper for a baby shower cake ...... I'm not making the cake, just this topper.
The mother-to-be is cabin crew for a well known airline (!) and they know that the baby is a little girl. As the mother is very "girly" herself, I decided to do a little baby in a pretty outfit asleep on a cloud, towing a toy plane to add a little connection to mum's job !
The lovely ribbon around the board was a present from a very kind flickr friend and was just perfect for this ..... thank you Liz !
All hand modelled in fondant with added CMC.

Forgot about this until I stumbled across it there now...... My shot on the front of the Topper. Fame!
A special commission - just the topper was needed as the lady was making her own cake.
There are 150 Swarovski crystals attached to the crossover straps.
Loosely based upon a Manolo Blahnik Design.

This is what I've been doing this week instead of photography. This was the cake topper for my youngest's christening this weekend. Despite being only about 2 inches long, it was very time consuming to make!

This is a topper for a first birthday cake for tomorrow.
I found this ribbon in Michaels in Orlando, Florida and fell in love with it. I had visions of using it on a cake but had no idea when or where !
I offered to make a first birthday cake for a dear little boy called Fletcher (his Mummy will be one of Catherine's bridesmaids) and was given carte blanche for the design ........ the perfect opportunity to use the snail trail ribbon ! ;o))
Snail made in fondant stiffened with CMC and on a 6" drum ...... his shell is twinkled to match the twinkly shell on the ribbon.
Now I'm off to finish the cake, so I'll catch up with you all later ....

I have made this topper to go on the top of my new Demo cake which I hope to complete this week. The original cow design was by Cupcakes by Design (thanx) but I have tweaked it a little!
I have a lot of stem topper doodle designs that I use throughout my doodle projects.

These were made for a couple whose surname is Shepherd, hence the sheep theme. There were ten sheep in the flock... the bride and groom plus five bridesmaids and three ushers.
They took me hours but I was pretty happy with how they turned out :-)
The cake toppers from our wedding. My father in law painted these and I think he did a wonderful job!
