The second set of shoes made for a customers christening cakes (twins). Tried to tie in the colours as much as I could by using the same shade of green as the little girls shoes.
Close up detail of the shoes. The bows are hand painted paisley, and I tried to make the leather inside the shoe as realistic as possible.
Felt cake / cupcake toppers I designed for "Heart-Felt Holidays", published by Lark Books this spring. Just add cocktail sticks :)

I'm thinking about maybe using my set of these to make some birthday bunting?
Christening cake topper (in a pair).
Just playing around with some new cutters I received today (when I should be making leaves for a cake!).
Too cute!
...... for a golf fanatic's 40th !
I've just finished this topper this afternoon ...... it's for a birthday cake for this weekend.
I've got a few toppers on the go at the moment and this one is made in polymer clay rather than sugar modelling paste as it will have to travel ...... but it has the added bonus that now the birthday boy can keep it if he wants to !
This is the second clay topper I've made and I'm getting more used to this medium ...... I rather like it .......
Here he is at the 19th hole, possibly feeling a little under par ! ;o))) All modelled freehand.
Yesterday as I undressed I tried out a cheap topper I bought, used with a halo band to clip the front to, as I don't have enough natural hair left at the front. It seemed to work quite well, my own hair, although I'm growing it, is not long enough to show yet but maybe in time.
I think what I need is a topper with a bigger base and two clips at the back, this one has just the one. Also either in grey to match my hair now, or I'd have my own coloured to match. No hurry though, I have plenty of full wigs. This did feel more comfortable though for the few minutes I wore it.
...... this is to go on the top tier of Rebecca May's parents' wedding cake that I made two years ago. It was kept especially for the christening of the first of any children they might have !
She is the first Grandchild of a very great friend of mine and the daughter of one of our daughter's best friends. I also knew Rebecca's late Great-Grandmother, May, after whom she is named.
I have known Rebecca's mother since before she was born ..... it always makes a cake that bit extra special when the family is like an extension of your own !
I was asked to put little Rebecca's favourite toy, her monkey, and some building bricks on the topper ...... and to have some pink on it ...... otherwise it was up to me !
I intend to edge the board so it will not look silver but whether I use ribbon or an icing border I will decide a bit later when I have seen it in situ. I also plan to slightly "tart the cake up a bit" so it looks a little more like a christening cake and less like a wedding cake ! LOL
Everything made of fondant.

Cake topper made of polymer clay.
The red heart is a feature on the couple's invitation and they wanted to incorporate that on the topper.
Wow did I luck out today! One of the many (many....many :) things I like to collect are old wedding cake toppers - I guess I am just a hopeless romantic, but these little remembrances of love from the past just warm my heart! I happened upon an Estate Sale that was not advertised, and got a whole box of these toppers for $3!!!! My heart skipped a beat! I have many more of these toppers I have collected over the years, and also have some from my dear friends that gave me ones from their relatives - I promised to give them a good home :) The wedding "couples" are shown in this picture.
I was asked to design a range of pirate toppers to match the Gold Tooth Pirate range of party plates.
I added cannons & changed the flags & added the gold tooth Pirate head.
I made these for the cupcake bouquets.
Bouquet of babies.

Yes, it's more cupcake toppers... I'm on a bit of a crafting kick! =)
I don't have any plans of when I may use these, but I just thought they were so cute. I made the "3" thinking I may use them for my youngest daughter's next birthday (still 10 months away, so I'm likely to change my mind).

I came up with the laying dog... and my feeble attempt at a black cat! - I have more paste, I fear black cat version 2 will yet be made & might make the final cake ...
