New Years Day was made to take on a hike with later a trail ride. As the day went on by the canal where the trail was, a beautiful sunset flowed low across the skes of New Mexico
Sunset near Coquille Point, Bandon, Oregon, on the evening of the ninth day of our May 2016 road trip.
Hope you have a fine Sunday! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

Really nice sunset to watch tonight. I especially liked how the setting sun illuminated the edges of the clouds

A timestack of the sunset - hundreds of frames of a sunset timelapse blended together so you can see the cloud trails.
I did this one entirely on the iPhone using the app iLapse for capturing and stacking the timelapse.
Check out the video I posted showing the stacking process here: flic.kr/p/txyXdm and the same frames as a classic timelapse here: flic.kr/p/sCfp47 and the behind the scenes setup here: flic.kr/p/t4wLHh

A montage of two images.
Thank you all for commenting and favouring my images it is very much appreciated.
These seagulls in flight look so ethereal, I thought that one of the song/music tracks called Etheric Messages(as background music) from one of my most favourite aritst Natacha Atlas would be perfect. (Maktub - meaning 'it is written' or it's destiny) - the track might be an acquired taste for some : )).
So lucky to have this beach just minutes from home. This sunset was totally unexpected after a grey afternoon. The unpredictability of nature!
