I have not been able to capture any decent sunsets recently due to the weather conditions so I have posted an image taken back in May of the beautiful sky and reflections at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire.
1 second exposure using a Lee 0.9 ND grad.

When I've got to the field it was still a bit dull, so for the first hour things weren't so interesting, but I had the time to setup my gear. And then in around 10 minutes, just as the sun set, all the magic happened. It was gold at the begining, then it went to this gorgeous purple gold, then full gold again:
Last night I headed up to Arms Tor on Dartmoor for sunset, it was more of a scouting mission as I've never been there before but it was a lovely evening. There wasn't much cloud in the sky at sunset so there wasn't much colour, but as this was a scouting mission I didn't really mind. I met up with Dianne Giles, Another Dartmoor photographer and we had a good chat while getting our photos.
It's another new tor bagged for me, each time I head up the moors now I'm trying to get to a different location so I can explore more of the moor.
Came home very late. Didnt have my dslr with me so took this photo with my phone. Later i edited it in Lightroom. I think its a good result for a phone! :)

A few weeks ago we were climbing up to the Schrammsteine in the Saxon Switzerland. The path over many stone steps and narrow ladders plus four hours of waiting for the sunset were worth the struggle.
As the sun was going down, there came another photographer, but unfortunately his camera got out of commishion while he was taking pictures of this beautiful view.
Vor einiger Zeit sind wir auf die Schrammsteine in der Sächsischen Schweiz geklettert. Es ging mit Hund über Steinstufen und schmale Metalleitern und wir durften noch vier Stunden auf den Sonnenuntergang warten. Aber die Mühe war es definitif Wert!
Als dire Sonne unterging kam noch ein anderer Fotograf. Dem armen Kerl ist beim Fotografieren dieser herrlichen Aussicht leider die Kamera ausgestiegen. Ich hoffe du konntest wenigstens noch ein paar Bilder retten!

Sunset and clouds! together with a nice silhouette it can be beautiful. I was lucky to be at this place the right time of the day!

In a golden sunset, an AC is in charge of a small eastbound train 408, as they split the signals crossing the border from New Brunswick into Nova Scotia. I was standing on the Nova Scotia side, at Fort Lawrence.
It doesnt happen very often, but in this instance, I was able to get multiple shots of the exact same train, at the same location, even using the same lens.

Although similar, each photo has a different scene, and feel to it. Well, it does to me anyway..
