The sun drops behind the Isle of Raasay and Uags bothy during fine spring weather on the north-west coast of Scotland.
As seen from the Marina Beach, (JBR). I assume it is very close to a cliché.
The pier is actually the runway for skydive Dubai.

Tonight's sunset knocked my socks off with the brilliant red clouds above reflecting on the ice cracks on the lake below. The ice melted in the cracks just enough causing the reflection. Probably never see this occur again.
As usual, It was much more spectacular in person. Had to be there to truly capture it.
Yesterday's sunset was looking promising from my balcony. That was until I got down to the water and the cloud rolled in
Sunset on another year. Better than 2007 and 2006 - but I continued to suffer losses from my pre-divorced life. Kola passed away after 13 years and Zowie now lives with the remaining former family pets. Nan and I continue to grow our relationship and both hope for a better year in 2009 for all our friends. While up at my favorite vantage point to watch the sunset, I met a runner who just stumbled upon this view by chance. She stopped to enjoy the sky and chat. It's amazing to know there are so many other people in this world who pause for beauty.
