One of the most dynamic sunsets I have ever seen. Wildfires and smoke out to the west contributed to the vivid colors. And not a soul left on the road---everyone had pulled over to take photos.

My Lucky Shoot

I hiked Mauna Loa yesterday and arrived back at the car minutes before sunset. I rushed to set up my camera and big lens, and I got this photo of the last light hitting Mauna Kea. The blowing clouds frequently blocked the view, but they parted at the perfect moment and revealed this.
