For "Our Daily challenge ... the other side"
Looking across the lake towards our house at sunset today.
Another sunset shot from my favorite spot at Charleson Park in Vancouver, BC. I went to this spot two evenings in a row to capture the setting sun. This one is from the first evening.
Sunset in my hometown. In the horizon the paradise summer vacation island called Storön can be seen. Many summers have been spend there when I was a kid.

This image was for my photography exam at A-level based on the word 'sublime'. To get this image, I had to walk/ balance across a lot of slippy rocks for quite a while as the tide and this pool of water were quite far out and there was no easy place to walk.
at Kinderdijk.
I wanted to capture the mirror reflections of the mills at sunset, but two women jumped into the canal - yes, in October! - and swam along waving at us fotographers standing there glaring at them while they destroyed the reflections. And then the rain set in ... you all know days like this, don't you?
I am lucky to live so close to the sea and the stunning Poole harbour. This was from last night sunset, 18/10. I manage to get there in time to see the sun set over the beautiful island of Brownsea.As the sun sank behind the island the colours dance across the water.
First some strange cloud formations passed overhead after what had been almost an clear sky. Then the rumbles of thunder indicating a storm. Next came a spectacular rainbow followed by an equally spectacular sunset in the other direction. Then as the sun faded and some brief flashes of lightning streaked the sky the heavens opened and both myself and Pops legged it (been doing a lot of that recently) to get back before getting a right drenching.
