thanks for all the views and nice comments.
The sky looked particularly good, so I dashed over to Windsor and grabbed a few sunset pictures. This one turned out ok.
Sunset The sunset is when the sun disappears below the horizon in the west direction. This is a phenomenon caused by the daily rotation of the Earth
Sunset over barns in Knutsford, just south of Kamloops.
Taken in Knutsford, British Columbia, Canada.
Sunset at Beverly Beach State Park in Oregon. Numerous wildfires around the state cause interesting hues.
Enjoying the two sure signs of the approach of autumn - an early sunset and extensive layer cloud - as we slowly glide out of a large cloud formation above the Swiss Alps. Once again not a bad way to end a flying day!
The Victoria Harbour Seawall or Breakwater at sunset. It is a nice place to walk on a beautiful day Two shot panorama.
Taken from our time at the beach. I was hoping to get one from home but I don't seem to get up in time to get a decent shot. The weather is so changeable at the moment you never know what you are going to wake to.
Dennis Sheehy gives us some of the most amazing sunsets and sunrises. I am inspired by his images. Dennis, thanks for inspiring us. Thanks for inspiring me!!

Puur compensatiegedrag. Ik word oud.
Sunset on our last night of the holiday. There was a fairly large crowd of people on the sandy beach so I wandered around the point to try and find some rocks to add to the foreground. I arrived with plenty of time to spare before the sun went down, took the camera out of the bag, which had been in the nicely air conditioned room, and it instantly fogged up. I think late afternoon, early evening is a very humid time of the day so the layer of mist on the lens was very thick and took ages to clear. I was almost at the point of giving up as the sun was quickly sinking and I could still not see through the lens.
Once it finally cleared I was able to get a few shots just before the sun disappeared below the horizon.
The sunset at the beach was amazing yesterday! We had high tide in the morning and when it dropped back down again, it left a little shallow 'pond' on the surface of the sand, so I grabbed my three-year-old, headed out there, and let her loose.
