Lauralamur reminded me of this one. You can almost hear the rustle of silk.
This is an unusual setting in that real furniture is used, not the lightweight wicker one uaually sees in studio portraits this age.
I am sure the photographer didn't intend to make it appear that the drapes in the painted backdrop are pinned to her hair.
