I may have my decades mixed up, but I when I think of the 1910s, I think of crooners in coat and tie singing corny songs into a megaphone. So, although I can't be sure this man is singing, this card is, to me, a quintessential 1910s image. The hat, the cigarette, the stiff detachable collar, the jaunty paper moon, and above all the megaphone ready to amplify that corny song. Plus I like the comet in the backdrop zipping over the top of the man's head. Postally unused despite the stain on the image side from what appears to have been a stamp, long since gone. Divided back, no stamp box.

These three photographs are a bit of a mystery. They are large prints 8" by 10". The woman is elaborately dressed and the backdrop sumptuously rendered. A series of letters and numbers in the corner of each shot gives no clue. They are all backed by black rice paper to which they have been glued, so from an album with any information on the back that can be recovered. I've only seen photos stuck to this kind of paper when they are of some age. My guess is that these were taken in the Edwardian era but I could be completely wrong.
Caught in a moment of confident ease, a blonde woman with a captivating smile poses in low-rise, wide-leg denim jeans and a simple white tube top. The classic denim and minimalist top create a modern vintage aesthetic against the neutral studio backdrop, highlighting the casual-chic style and an effortless attitude. It's a snapshot that speaks to the timeless appeal of effortless style.

This is the same frame I used in the previous photo. Once I created it and was happy with it I didn't want to ever have to go through that tedious process ever again. So I made a template out of it to be used again. .
I flattened the previous image and renamed the background layer so it was locked in as a background layer. Then made a new layer and put it underneath. Then used the rectangle tool (at zero feather) and made a precise 8x10 rectangle just inside the frame. Hit "delete" and wha-la, a template is born. Save it as a .PSD and in the future just drag another image into it and place it below the frame layer and you can slide it around and resize it to taste. Kinda cool.
Just flatten it, save it as jpg and upload it to flickr.
Oh, lighting on this was a gridded beauty dish. Dramatic light falloff and no light on the grey background so at 1/200th it went black. I think that bit is really cool.
