This is my friend's hairless Chinese Crested. His name is Stuart, he's a little slow and he wears polo shirts and dresses.
Bob cleans out the pebbles in his boots. The cairn indicates we're now on the standard route, which is also obvious because we ran into several other Stuart parties here. Prior to this we hadn't seen anybody all day.
Today's photo was taken from a bridge spanning the Stuart River, a short distance downstream from Gordonbrok Dam. It is a typical Kingaroy winter scene with winter colours across the grass, a cold overcast sky and the river wending its way through the countryside.

I had found the poor road-killed orange Wedge-tailed Eagle youngster and was gathering up feathers from around the road when the Bush-fire Brigade truck pulled up beside me and said there was going to be a lot of smoke. I think I said I didn't mind. It was a very sad time.and it suited my mood somehow.
