Today's photo was taken from a bridge spanning the Stuart River, a short distance downstream from Gordonbrok Dam. It is a typical Kingaroy winter scene with winter colours across the grass, a cold overcast sky and the river wending its way through the countryside.
Stuart Cable (19 May 1970 – 7 June 2010) was a Welsh rock drummer and broadcaster, best known as the original drummer for the band Stereophonics.

Local Scotsman and scotch aficionado Stuart MacLean Ramsay provided a local perspective on scotch in Oregon
Famous for being robbed by Bonnie & Clyde on April 16, 1934, just a month before the infamous couple was gunned down in Louisiana. The bank itself closed in 1944, and also served as Stuart's police station before reverting back to retail space.

Stuart Highway North, north of the Tropic of Capricorn marker. There is something spiritual in flames and smoke when something sad has happened beside the road.
I had found the poor road-killed orange Wedge-tailed Eagle youngster and was gathering up feathers from around the road when the Bush-fire Brigade truck pulled up beside me and said there was going to be a lot of smoke. I think I said I didn't mind. It was a very sad time.and it suited my mood somehow.
