Food Font is an art project where people can make alphabets out of food, take pictures of each letter, and later use these and other food alphabets to create images and other creative projects. The project supports dialogue and builds community around food, health, and sustainability.
The Food Font project allows you to download Food Font alphabets that you can use.
Goto: www.foodfont.com/download to view alphabets in other forms.
All Food Alphabets files are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. You can use the alphabet images and files but you must mention the project and where the images came from in documentation, promotion, labels, etc. You also can sell what you make if you wish.

This three-necked instrument features a central neck tuned like a conventional guitar (E-A-d-g-b-e), plus a neck on the left tuned chromatically (A-B-c-d-d-e) and one on the right tuned diatonically (c-d-e-f-g-a-b-c). The back and the sides are of figured walnut. Not all of the ormolu (mercury-gilded brass) mounts on the yoke are original.

four string quilt blocks, ready to go.
This is a new technique for me, and I have to say I love it, but need to change a little for next time - I made some of the widths too similar, so it feels like it wants to line up too much, making it look a little off, and also, I probably need to have more fabrics, to make it look more scrappy and random! We live to learn though, and I'll definitely be doing this again!
I blogged about this here - miesmama.blogspot.com/2010/02/i-string-quilt-blocks.html
“When I see this photograph, I find myself feeling thankful, wanting to say i love my guitars, remembering the first time i attempted playing one, having the reaction that I hated the guitar, wanting to ask as my dad 'why did you buy me this?'”
“When I explore this photograph, I think its message for me is we should not judge by our first experiences, it makes me think about how i would have been without guitars, or my response to it is 'imagine i would have not played guitar ?' and I think this is probably because i would have only one alternative to release my emotions. One that will not always be here.”
“If I were to title this photo, I would call it String addict.”
“If this photo were to be able to teach me a lesson, it would be that I need to be persistent and humbled. Especially with the guitar.”
“If I could give this photo as a gift to someone, I would give it to my baby sister, because of as she grows up. she will need ways to release as well.”

Thanks for looking!
This is my 3rd string pillow. This time I did HSTs of blocks in purple, blue, and green with a light gray background. I like the look of this different technique, but think I'll stick to more stringy/spider webby looking blocks.
This is going to a male co-worker, so hopefully it's a bi more manly. It's hard for me to really determine those types of things.
