Some of the bulkhead rebates needed a little reshaping to accommodate the sweep of the the stringer, and some just needed a thin handsaw blade worked in, flat against the stringer to get a nice fit, but very little adjustment seemed necessary to get a fair curve on the stringers...this may of course be because they aren't as good as they seem from the views available in my shed, but whatever, I'm stuck with them now.
Since posting this pic and writing the above, a few minor adjustments have been made. If you look at B3 intersecting the top stringer, you will notice that the stringer is a fraction too high in it's run down to the lowest point of the curve. I've adjusted it downwards about 3mm on B3 and about 2mm on B2.

I like this one. I decided not to blacken the outside of the firecracker and see if the translucent string cheese would look interesting. And it did.
The string cheese was from the dollar store. A simple shot. i also used a black background which is rare for me. I just wanted white cheese and black background. It might even work as a black and white photo.
We are staying home today. We already had and early Thanksgiving this past Sunday which went fine. Kathy and I went on a short hike in Ventura and then went into the hot tub. My long suffering right knee feels good and Kathy's hip is hopefully getting better.
I'd like to take some long hikes this winter so hopefully things will continue good.

I was sent four of the upcoming Lego Hero Factory sets to review. My review can be found on The Brothers Brick.
This house is part of a string of row houses for workers of an old mill now gone. They fell into disrepair. Then folks bought them and rehabilitated them. This is a prime example. The water table is very high and if you look closely you can see the waste pipe is above ground in the lower left of this picture in the garden. It has a false basement under the house known as a "summer basement" which is either a slab or earth behind the wooden paneling around the bottom of the house. These houses were derelict ten years ago, Now they are quite lovely. However they adjoin the Columbia River which means they will see increased flooding in the future. Alderbrook is a neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon.
