A colorless evening on an ice covered String Lake. Even though no mountains were visible, it still was a great place to spend the evening. I even got caught in the middle of a snowball fight.

Mmm... I am almost done. Once I laid it out, I realized that I'm going to need one more row, so that it will be 52"x71". Blocks are 7" each.

zieh ich an Fäden, führe dich vor.

Ich lass dich gehen, stehen und drehen,

ich bin der Spieler, du bist der Tor.

an meinen Fäden sollst du geh'n!

Ganz wie ich will, wird es gescheh'n!"

The last few months of a year long project are the hardest. Desire, inspiration, and new subject matter are some of the things I struggle with. As of this day, less than 3 months to go. ;)

LYON WANDERINGS.

'La Ficelle' ('The String') - one of several funicular railways which forms part of the Lyon Metro system. View of an upward train through the cab window of a downward train at the intermediate stop Minimes.

From the Lyon Metro map, this seems to be part of the Line D system even though it is separate from the main non-funicular part of that line. The funicular runs between Vieux Lyon (Cathédrale St-Jean) at the bottom, and St Just.

Country: France

Région: Rhône-Alpes

Département: Rhône (69)

City: Lyon

City district: Vieux Lyon, 5ème

One of those ongoing projects where I do a couple now and then since I have to wait for the scrap bin to fill up with strips from other projects. The blocks are 10" square.
