Two new additions to the household: The Tuxedo Twins.
Born: 6 April 2016
Arrived here: 3 June 2016
Mother was rescued, very pregnant, and cared for by our local animal rescue group, Guardian Angels Animal Support. These two were our choice from the five kittens.
Needless to sayour existing cat, Tilly, is not impressed. Well not yet anyway!
We were in the west end of Glasgow yesterday in this lovely wee shop. Not my usual sort of shot but really liked the place.
Not the best quality as taken with my compact in low light (while holding my one year old daughter!).
Estes 88 blocos sairam da condição de UFO. Eba!!

A very old MOC, long before I would learn my modern greebling skills. This is a reimagining of the Hero Factory character Jimi Stringer, aiming to both combine his 2010 and 2013 sets and demonstrate what a system-built CCBS figure could look like.
3.5 x 3.5 inches, Copic multiliner with Copic marker shading. Mouse over so you can see tangle pattern credits. I began with TanglePatterns.com starting string 003. Enjoy!
A snow covered shoreline at String Lake. After several days of heavy cloud cover, the Tetons where finally visible, but the light wind prevented any reflection shots. I sure wish I had waited one more day to leave, and tried one more time.

Senecio rowleyanus, a succulent native to Namibia. This one is very small, supposedly the stems with the balls can get up to three feet (1m) long. For 2016" one photo each day (154/366)

From a distance I wanted the pieces to look fairly flat, but on closer inspection the patterns and shadows emerge in and out of the surface. Through this laborious detail I want to create a great sense of intrigue, to make the viewer want to look closer.
In this particular piece each length of string has been individually wrapped and stuck down. I like using the mirrors to reflect colours from the surrounding areas to conflict with the orange.
