This is a guerilla campaign idea for Stride Gum. In the supermarket or convenience store there will be stickers on the ground that look like chewed up gym thats stuck on the floor. These stickers will lead up to the gum aisle or where the gum is located to promote interest in the product and to try to make gum more of a thoughtful purchase rather than an impulse.
On the stickers they will read situations that teens would normally think would be exhausting or 'long-lasting'. Such as "your class lecture" or "your grounding when your friends are out". Things of that nature
On April 24th members of Local 2141, as well as members of Alexandria’s 38th Suppression Recruit Class, joined co-worker Monique Jackson-Asante and her family and friends to participate in the MDA’s Stride and Ride event at George Mason University. Local 2141 partnered with GMU’s Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity to walk on behalf of Monique’s daughter Comfort who suffers from Myasthenia Gravis, a neuromuscular disease that causes muscle fatigue and weakness.
A new incarnation of an original idea.
The first devices of what became the modern bicycle performed the exact same role that these Strider balance bikes. You sat aside it and scooted along with your feet.
This method of riding is the best way to learn to ride. With a standard bicycle you would simply remove the pedals until the rider progresses past the balancing stage. Some riders with special needs may never achieve this pedalling stage - as seen here.
These Strider balance bikes come three sizes allowing anyone between a small child to an adult to enjoy the movement and speed of a bicycle.
