Garnet was not destined to last. By 1912, the large strikes were depleted, fire had raged through town, and most miners had left in search of new riches.

Sentry ZH105 is in storage minus engines and what looks like a large nose weight (box) hanging on the starboard side. Lots of lovely yellow Gaffer tape makes great contrast to the drab grey scheme!

We passed by this store several times and each time would see the man in the window watching people go by. Shooting through windows, and reflections on windows add an unpredictable element to photos. I find it a bit mesmerizing.

This candy store is located in the old part of Taipei. I was fascinated with the bright colors and shinny surfaces of each piece of wrapped candy. This photo was taken in the Spring of 2004

Stumbled upon this store that sells precious and semi-precious stones, both large geodes as well as small rocks in bulk. It was kinda cool, but I dunno what I'd ever do with bulk rocks. Good for ppl who make their own jewellery, I guess.

Today I visited the Leica store in Miami for a 9|11 gallery by John Botte, and was truly inspired. I became more inspired when I first touched and had the honor to use the LEICA-M System, with a few lenses, such as the 50mm Notilux f/.95.

Prentis Store is the location for one-of-a-kind items handmade by the skilled tradespeople of Colonial Williamsburg, using 18th-century tools and techniques. I didn't understand this concept at first, but was amazed when I realized that the people in Colonial Williamsburg not only told about history, but they lived history, too! Then to see some of their goods actually being sold is pretty neat. Unfortunately, they were beyond our budget. Art and skill does come at a high price!

You can buy leather goods, pottery, furniture, iron hardware and baskets here.

Facade of the Apple Store in Sydney.

Around since at least the 1960s, this checkerboard sign has been a familiar sight in Merriam, Kansas a suburb of Kansas City.

Appears that a local gift store has closed and left a nice collection of collectable bears at the Goodwill.

Drug Store at 208 Pearl Street in New Albany, IN. Long closed and now the neon sign is falling off the building.

Now known as Acme Markets.

This photograph shows the exterior view of the American Store located in Egg Harbor City, NJ . The photograph is taken at the entrance door showing the facade facing Philadelphia Avenue. The store was located at the corner of Agazzi Street (today the White Horse Pike or Route 30) and Philadelphia Avenue. On the back of the photograph is written: Theo Ficken Sr. 1924. It is interesting to note that a sign in the front window clearly states "1928 Crop Vegetables".
