Shortly after closing. I was glad how these stores lasted and I think Game is leaving Australia for good!
You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don’t you call me ’cause I can’t go
I owe my soul to the company store.

Grocery are also affected by the economy ... less people are shopping for food ... nowadays shopper are only buying what they need.
This was taken at 3am but there are days that tthe store is like this ... no shoppers. Groceries are not the only ones affected here but also affected the people working in here. Not only they cut our hours they have let people go.
Outside this grocery store are parking spaces for horse and buggies. Truly. This is not the front facade, by the way, this is the working side of the store.

I took the photo in a bookstore in Guiyang City. it would allowed and appreciated for a book lover to read or make notes in the book store - just as you did in a library. They even offer tables and seats for the readers. It's rare things here in China esp. it's lasted for more than ten years.
it's a amazing life for a man who has a love of something.

This is the front face of Lynchburg Tennessee's General Store where the tourists go to buy Jack Daniel souvenirs etc. Shot in the afternoon and sepia toned for that "ole fashioned look".
I loved the flower arrangement and the array of scarecrows around it. I thought I 'd sneak in a shot or two. The store manager was busy arranging other displays behind me and I was hoping he wouldn't notice me clicking away. I guess he didn't.
Upstairs was where the Masonic lodge was originally formed, my great great grandfather Marcus M. Mauney (my great grandmother Elizabeth's father) was the Chartermaster. (This is a person who puts up the funds to start the lodge, charter, etc. ) it is now and antique store.
This location will have more foot traffic than most other locations, with the only possible exceptions being Manhattan and Ginza.

I had it written down in my little book to make sure we visited Little Otsu. Pretty stoked to see the Gemma Correll window display still up!
Taken at the Village Historique Acadien. This store is fully stocked like it was in the 1800's. Very interesting to see! Even had candy jars where they were giving out treats like dried apple slices...mine was so good!
