I followed Bob's suggestion to stop by at the Maine State Prison Showroom in Thomaston on my drive up to Bar Harbor. It was a great suggestion; they had many high quality woodcrafts made by the prisoners, available at very reasonable price.

This yarn really reminds me of going thrift store shopping back in Chicago.. You find that awesome yellow and purple sweater with all the funky stuff!! and of course you take everything you scored home in pink crinkley plastic bags..
2 corespun skeins, from batts that had a bit of EVERYTHING!! There's lace, sari silk, ribbons, novelty yarns, sparkle, felted nubbies, tulle and even little bits of the pink crinkley plastic bag!

This is the Blue and Pink Fairy 4. When I purchased her from the thrift store, she was wearing a simple pink and blue outfit and the paint on her teeth and mouth had faded. I re-painted her mouth with acrylic paint, added beaded fringe to the bottom of her skirt, added a polymer clay accent to the waist of her skirt, and added polymer clay wings to her back.
