I was going to stay home and try to catch up with all the comments, but, Jan talked me into going out this morning. I usually do really good when she goes. I guess she is my good luck charm! :-)

I went out yesterday (by myself) and hiked 5-6 miles. Only saw 3 moose. A little spike bull and a cow with her calf. Today, we saw 14 moose. Only 3 bulls, but, this one made up for it. I had photographed him on the 25th, but, I didn't care for the shots I got. His right eye has been injured. It looked better today then it did on the 25th. Probably got a tine poked in it while fighting. I have seen it happen before.

The weather has been good. Just need a real hard frost to get them really moving.

David, from The General came for our yearly heater check. It's running perfectly but they are recommending we get a surge protector for the air conditioner.

Signs with political, social, public health, and support have become common in my area this year. In the past there were occasional political signs during elections, but nothing like we are seeing now. There is a collection of those I have spotted in my album: Signs of the Times

Staying Home Covid-19 is here and we all have to stay at home to halt the spread of the virus. We photographers are reduced to taking pictures in the house, so here are a few things of interest.

Cat's Eyes Pussy cat Bracken, who will be ten years old in a few days, is quite used to my being at home all day. It means that she can meow for food in that desperate, oh so appealing manner in those moments when she's not asleep. You can tell she's miffed by the clicking camera and popping flash.

Photographic Information

Joan stayed home with Lacey today. She was having a very bad morning. She had no energy and didn’t really know where she was at any given moment. It makes us want to cry sometimes. I’m not sure how long it will be before we have to put her down. She isn’t really suffering like she would be with an injury or a physical illness which makes that decision so hard. We’ll continue to take it one day at a time

Another FlickrFriday submission.

I'm in the garage butchering wood listening to some old stuff on some old stuff. (Photo taken between naps) Contrary to what I thought I heard my wife say, I believe I'm an excellent listener.

Stay home and get fantasy!

A slightly different take on my earlier cowboy shot, this time with a bit of desaturation and a lighting change only via angle of shot. stayed home

slept

had some yogurt and an english muffin i'm pretty sure

slept

went to rehearsal

I set my phone amongst this chaotic pile of my interests, and when I saw the reflection of the outside world I was reminded of Flickr's Friday theme for the week: I Stay Home. This is a pretty good encapsulation of my world and experience at this time; a pile of music and books, a life of screens, and the outside world almost a surreal reflection of what we knew so recently, so near but now just a little out of reach.

Tossed in some little "Easter egg" items for photographers:

• Cartier-Bresson's The_Mind's_Eye in the background.

• A Contax 1.7/50 sitting atop the stack of CDs and headphones.

• A Weston Master III meter below the Apple logo.

• A Voigtlander Kontur viewfinder, which is an interesting and oddball piece, to the left of the meter.

Shot this as a B&W jpeg with the X1 then gave it a light edit in Capture One. That's a funny way to do it, since I'm generally a raw shooter and I have C1 primarily as an editor for my Fuji RAFs, but I like the jpegs this camera creates, and I'm impressed by what a great jpeg editor C1 is, so I'm enjoying this quick and simple method. I composed this with the help of the VIDOM, which makes it easier to align straight lines with the X1, but I of course at this close distance I had to double check the framing and alignment of the reflection.

staying home is getting boring!

With the approach of May, Camp Italia is changing some habits in the direction of improving the services offered to the Community in the Italian language of the Second Life platform.

The Educational part will see an increase in the hours that the Support Team dedicates to new users and to all users who need assistance.

In this direction, new courses will be borrowed from the Camp Italia sim, and the theoretical-practical lessons will be held in the Educational area of the sim.

Stay Safe, stay Home, enjoy Camp Italia!
