Stayed home from work today due to a blizzard. after being really good and working on tax crap for several hours, Maggie and I went out to do some snowshoeing.
These pieces of graffiti appeared alongside Highway 102 in Nova Scotia in 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, with messages like "Wash Your Hands" and "Stay Home." At some point in late 2023 or early 2024, they were subverted and transformed into messages like "Clap Your Hands," "Wash Your Bum," and "Don't Stay Home."
Stayed home today to wait for the car in the shop. At the end of the day, I stepped back into the apartment and looked back to see this. Sights like this are like little everyday treats you sometimes forget to give yourself.
Jamie and Alice are the least destructive sled dogs I've had. Leaving them in charge has never resulted in destruction of anything more than some junk mail ... yet.
3|20|08: I stayed home sick from work yesterday. I hear it was a very nice day, but I didn't actually go outside until my husband got home. Earlier in the afternoon I had thought, "wouldn't it be nice to have a fire tonight?" But then I thought that my husband probably wouldn't feel like it & it looked a little windy. After he got home, he disapeared outside for a while. When I went to find him he was building a fire. I hadn't even mentioned I wanted one. It was so great that we were in the same state of mind. Throughout the warm months we like to grill outside and have a fire in our backyard firepit, so I feel like this was a great celebration of the first day of spring.
