This 1906 vehicle, registration SMC 1, is the oldest surviving Standard car. In 1950, it was discovered in a barn in Australia. It was restored and returned to Britain in 1959. It is now on display in the Coventry Transport Museum.

I believe this was the previous days train 224 that was held at East Creston. A crossing was bring replaced at Orrville, Ohio and the job must not have made to the work zone before an OOS was handed down. We discovered it there crew less in the early morning hours and continued our day with a 712. Finishing up with 712 at Akron, we took a quick drive back to to Creston in the afternoon hoping to see a crew boarding, and yielded just that! The chase was on!

Standard Duke (IMO 9499682), a Platform Supply Vessel owned by Fletcher Supply Vessels, built by Rosetti Marino, Italy, in 2012, moored in the outer harbour.
This building in Silver City Idaho was erected in 1892 and housed all grades including high school with 3 teachers, one for each level. Many notable Idahoans attended school here.
My daughter and her family are moving to another city in a month..about 1.5 hr by air or a day of driving.
They will be missed and I will be putting my air miles to use.

Back in time once again....to late afternoon on Friday 4th October 2019, where we see 'Resplendent' BR Riddles Designed Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73156 scurry through Swithland Sidings, Great Central Railway (GCR) en route to firstly Rothley with the ex Loughborough 15.30pm passenger service for Leicester North.
The vivid and contrasting colours captured by the bright 'Autumnal Sunlight' are further enhanced by the 'Dramatic Sky'.

Looking back through some old pictures, we see CSX Q640, a Cumberland, Maryland to Buffalo, New York mixed freight, rolling east through Perry, Ohio with a standard cab C40-8, CSX 7552, leading the way. A fresh, soft snow had just finished falling about 30 minutes before Q640 rolled through, causing them to kick up a good amount of snow behind them.

80072 BR Standard Class 4 2-6-4T @ the Llangollen Railway on Monday 7th May 2018. The Riddles designed tank departs from the railway’s namesake station with an afternoon passenger service on a busy Bank Holiday.
CSX L811 makes it way south for Elizabeth to interchange with the Georgia Northeastern after waiting for a northbound at Day. Not actually knowing what was coming, I decided to set up the flashes anyway since I had no where to be. To my delight, the power for this night was a single GP38-2, & it sounded good accelerating for the hill to Elizabeth. 5-3-23

This was a standard shot i took while visiting some local waterfalls. Sometimes I think I take shots and people like them a whole lot more than i do. Although there are several major compositional features, i'm really not a fan of this picture... and im not sure why. I do hope other people like it though!

BR Caprotti Standard Class '5MT' No. 73127 of Patricroft MPD (9H) lifts a mixed freight out of Walton Old Junction, Warrington, circa 1966. It was withdrawn from Patricroft depot in November 1967.

Ivatt Class 2 46521 makes a rousing departure from Loughborough with the 13;45 to Leicester. The Ivatt was a late substitute for Standard 5 73084 which had brake issues earlier in the day.
