This is a photo I didn't use last year. This year the nasturtiums aren't doing very well in this part of our yard. We have a gopher digging up the yard.
I did not get any good shot in my last visit to Wulai early this week. I tried to find some shots I took last year. This butterfly is one of the rare species met there. Hope I will meet some new species this year.
這個星期一二連衝兩天烏來福山，但是都沒有拍到早春的嬌客，拍蝴蝶，一點兒也不比拍風景輕鬆。
整理去年拍的照片，發現這「杉谷琉璃小灰蝶 」原來也是一年一世代的蝶種，我還真是有眼不識「泰山」～

This rapidly changing albeit typical Oregon spring sky was a very catchy backdrop against the bright and colorful tulips at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm last Sunday evening. This photo wash't shot long after we got pretty wet from some passing rain. It;'s getting late, I hope everyone in the Portland area has had a chance to see this sea of tulips for themselves. It's definitely worth the annual visit.
Sometimes you find some interesting images while browsing through some older work, same for this one.
A couple of years ago I visited this Tawny Owl together with HvHe1. I like this image because you can see that the owl just enjoys the beautiful spring colors and is gathering some energy out of it.
In 2 weeks I will visit Montenegro together with my girlfriend, Sandra Lucas. I will try some more landscapes there, this because my landscape and 'nature' images were pretty highly faved and commented (THANKS!!) and made it into the top 10 on explore!

Better viewed large. Technically speaking, I kind of like the watercolor effect...but now I'm thinking my darker version is better overall. Guess I'll have to post that one too.
