Spring has arrived in my garden brightening the days in East Yorkshire. Taken with an iPhone SE back camera.
Time for a fresh start in 2025.
Clean off the face of time for a fresh new outlook.

Compared to winter, the options to shoot L516 start to open up in spring. Thanks to a quick stop at the autoport, just one car this day, they would be east of town a ways before dark. The sky was showing some potential so I gave chase out to Cylon. It wasn't exactly what I imagined but with the sun on the horizon enough glint happened and I rather like the dark purple cloud deck. Starting to get that unsettled change of seasons feeling. April 10, 2024.

Looks like a typical Central Valley spring storm is clearing up as an SP crane move takes the connector from Santa Fe to Southern Pacific at Stockton, CA; observed during one of my trips home from Texas. Santa Fe Stockton Tower is behind me to my left. The diamond under the gondola is a crossing with the connector between Santa Fe and UP's former Western Pacific main. Of course, most of the railroad elements in this scene are now gone, except for BNSF's ex-Santa Fe trackage.
Purity Spring sits in a small park along the Hillsborough River in northern Tampa, not far from Sulphur Springs. This unheralded site is a surprising spot to view a well-flowing spring with a nice creekbed as it flows a short distance out to the river.
As part of the 2018 Carnival Of Flowers, Queensland Rail's 1620 hauled several shuttles to Spring Bluff to show of the historic site of Spring Bluff and all the various Gardens.

The weather called for all rain for us, but two days into Spring and we are back to Winter. The delicate early-arrival flowers are prepared though, and it's only a minor inconvenience to their operations.

Enchanted Spring
My obsession with moss draped vine maples hit a crescendo this past weekend while out shooting with Jeremy Cram, Scott Miller, Paul Bowman, and Brian “Happy Meal” Kibbons. We explored a hard to reach little corner of the Gorge and walked a cold creek for better part of three hours before I noticed this grove of vine maples. That’s when a bit of serendipity struck as the sun poked through mostly cloudy skies for a few brief minutes, allowing me to frame these vine maples around a huge sun star. I’ve shot the Gorge a lot over the past several years and I continue to enjoy creating images of creeks and falls. However, what has been really exciting me recently is shooting these more lush, intimate forest scenes. Hope you all enjoy this one!
Slowly but surely spring is arriving in the Netherlands.
The Blackthorn is in full bloom now. It attracts a lot of insects/butterflies.
Last Saturday I focused on Honey Bees in flight while they were feeding from the Blackthorn.
Pumped up the ISO to get a very high shutterspeed.
Also note the pellet on the hind leg.
To collect and transport pollen, honey bees mix pollen particles with regurgitated nectar and form the mixture into pellets, which cling their hind legs.
This is a handheld shot.

"Les plantes et les animaux tout autour de nous s'éveillaient d'un long sommeil, et notre jardin s'est lentement transformé en un tapis de vert tendre, et les cieux au-dessus de notre maison se sont à nouveau remplis de chœurs de chants d'oiseaux."

"The plants and animals all around us were waking from a long sleep, and our yard was slowly transformed into a carpet of soft green, and the skies above our house were filled with choruses of birdsong once again.”

spring from afar! this is the view so many are having at this moment in time, Not everyone has a garden to sit in or open spaces to walk to even if it was allowed.
So many of us are caged like animals with no escape, our behaviours curtailed by the fickle finger of fait and unknowing partners or parents in the case of younger girls our prison warders. It must be hard not being able to be yourself even if its just wearing those high heels you adore or that little secret stash of underwear calling to you from the attic knowing you can't respond. Your heads spinning in the turmoil and fear for loved ones and your selfish need to be you all taking its toll on your well being.
I am thinking of you all, be strong and you will experience a sunny spring day in the future.
Helen xx

Mmmm....a tasty confection if ever I saw one. It's a shame to let beautiful lingerie hide out of sight all the time....so I make sure to air Daisy's out from time to time. ❤️️
You know, I can hardly believe it's almost time to run the clocks forward again. I don't know about you folks....but Daisy and I are VERY pleased to get this crummy winter behind us! 😊
