Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park. Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the United States, and the third largest in the world. Its colors include blue, green, yellow, orange, gold, red and brown. To see into the pool requires a hike to the top of a knoll above the spring.

Let's welcome in spring! with a bright yellow dandelion, shall we? The curse of some gardeners, dandelions make delicious wines and salads and have been used medicinally for centuries. I can't vouch for this recipe for dandelion wine or this one, so if any of you have a better or different one, please share it. And here's just one of many recipes one can find on Google for a dandelion greens salad.

And best wishes to our friends in the Southern Hemisphere for a happy autumn.

Thank you for visiting.

... again ... i confess ... i'm an addict. sorry.

but ... first one from 2012. :)

This Spring/Summer I had the enjoyment to walk around my neighborhood, the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, and in my own front and back yard! Spring is such a beautiful time of year when nature brings us new life! Summer carries it on. Daisy's and Dandelions in the Spring sunshine today

Normally I shoot my pictures in the M-mode with as much as possible settings manually set (only the WB will be sometimes WB-Auto1).

Because of the position of this flower and the wed ground, I decided to make this picture in the Automatic Live view mode. So all the settings were set by the camera...

I got a mirror from flipXbac on my LCD and position the focus square on the flower, to get that part sharp.

But.... my camera decided something completely different. The flower is out of focus and the trees in the back ground became in focus. I don't know why this happened. The result however, I do like more than the ones with the flower in focus..

A blurry spring feeling I should say :p.

Perfekter Tag...

It's here! Im looking forward to seeing everyones spring shots. Here's my first of the season. I may have gone overboard on the processing (easy for me to do).

oh! I hit 1000+ views! I know this is small change to everyone here, nevertheless a milestone in my book ^__^

Been to the park lately.

Spring has sprung.

See you guys tomorrow-will visit your streams as I have missed entire month of March.

Happy Easter!

A twig on a maple tree begins the process of leafing out in the spring. I managed to isolate this twig by taking this from a balcony overlooking the garden.

Time for a floral interlude as spring is here at last. It's been a wonderful year for blossom, but temperatures lurching between 4 or 5 degrees and an astonishing 20 degrees two weeks ago - and all accompanied by really strong winds. These are all from my garden - once it was warm enough to go outside and see what was happening. More snowdrops, these ones what I consider the common variety.

Spring and autumn for me, there are so many great subjects at these times. I thank you all for your wonderful images that make me get out there to try and get some images for myself. Thank-you so much for your great encouragement.

Spring officially begins tomorrow, and our daytime temperatures are actually going to stagger above zero -- just barely, but still ...
