This Spring/Summer I had the enjoyment to walk around my neighborhood, the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, and in my own front and back yard! The Lilac Bushes are in both my front yard and my back yard. These particular white lilacs are in my front yard. Spring is such a beautiful time of year when nature brings us new life! Summer carries it on. Photo Images credited to Vickielynne Photography and Designs(VLP & Designs) Images may be designed on wearable art and home essentials at www.vlpdesigns.com
April 15th and we are supposed to be enjoying spring weather. Instead it has been 2 days of ice pellets, freezing rain and snow. Loads more rain to come.

For the first time in many years, I did not celebrate Easter on the island. I will go in May instead.
On a promised good weather weekend, the weather in the mountains of North Wales was once again moody and unreliable. This view, with the summits obscured, encompasses the wide, wild landscape and the sombre winter weather of early spring near Capel Curig in the heart of Snowdonia.
The gardens at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, are full of colour, a delightful visit in the spring sunshine.

A light exists in Spring
Not present in the year
at any other period
When March is scarcely here.

The Canary Spring of the upper terrace of Mammoth Hot Springs is one of the most variable, ever changing features in the park. The flow of water from the springs changes periodically, with some pools drying up while other pools become reinvigorated. I very much like the way the springs looked while I was there. I've seen other pictures of this long dead tree where the pools in front of it have the dry white chalky appearance of the ridges behind it. With water in these pools, with a lovely yellow to orange colored bacteria, I was able to get this really nice evening reflection of the tree with the cloud obscured setting sun and the Gallatin Range providing a nice backdrop.
