Spring starts here
1st March = meterological spring = spring flower photos. Starting with snowdrop season.
There is a wonderful display of snowdrops on Moncrieffe Hill. I love the woodland setting with its carpet of snowdrops.
If you hurry you can still see them!

Spring has a lot of fresh vegetables. Especially, onion, potato, and bamboo shoot are seasonal food. They are so delicious.
Spring brings with it warmer weather, blooming flowers and beautiful colors. These were photographed in Queens, NY.

The surface has had almost half a foot of rain fall over the past few days. The ground is saturated. This spring is full.
More rain is on the way.
No doubt this spring alone you've already seen a thousand photos like this, but I'm just a sucker for pretty flowers.

Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore) 'Brilliantissimum' to give it the full name.
It is a slow growing tree and doesn't get too big for our small garden. The pinkish new leaves are so refreshing in spring but will mature to yellow-green with a second flush of shrimp-pink leaves later in the summer.
Here we can see the new leaves and the unfurling clusters of yellow-green spring flowers.
So cheerful these primulas - and they come in such a wide range of colours. Heralds of spring!

Sawdust Spring is one of many springs along the Sante Fe River in North Florida. It lies across the river from the popular campground Ginnie Springs but is relatively unnoticed by those anxious not to miss the tube takeout on the river.
The spring equinox in the southern hemisphere is on 23 September, which means it will be getting warmer and hemlines will go up, especially mine!

Montseny Natural Park is a natural park that protects part of the Montseny massif. It was established in 1977 and is managed by the Barcelona Provincial Council since 1977 and the Council of Girona since 1978. Also since 1978 is a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. It was established as a national park in 1987. It covers part of the municipal Aiguafreda El Brull, Campins and Cànoves Samalús, Figaro-Montmany, hotbed of Montclús, La Garriga Gualba Montseny Palautordera St. Stephen, St. Peter Vilamajor Seva Tagamanent Arbúcies Breda , Rails Montseny, Sant Feliu de Buixalleu and Viladrau. The top of the park is the Turó de l'Home 1706.7 meters.
