More of the wonderful apple blossom on the Green at Selworthy.

The wetlands over permafrost, at the foot of the Cathedral Mountains is gathering spring meltwater. Some areas however are shrinking and drying up because of meager snowfall last winter, both here in the Tanana Valley and in the mountains.

Spring has arrived in New Hampshire.

This Spring/Summer I had the enjoyment to walk around my neighborhood, the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, and in my own front and back yard! The Lilac Bushes are in both my front yard and my back yard. These particular white lilacs are in my front yard. Spring is such a beautiful time of year when nature brings us new life! Summer carries it on. Photo Images credited to Vickielynne Photography and Designs(VLP & Designs) Images may be designed on wearable art and home essentials at www.vlpdesigns.com

Spring is strong and virtuous,

Broad-sowing, cheerful, plenteous,

Quickening underneath the mould

Grains beyond the price of gold.

So deep and large her bounties are,

That one broad, long midsummer day

Shall to the planet overpay

The ravage of a year of war.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

After weeks of unseasonably hot and dry weather (thanks to climate change I assume) trees are budding and flowering.

Another lovely Spring day in the village

It's finally spring! I went out yesterday to try to capture the esplanade at golden hour. I think I went a bit too late because most of what I wanted to get was already in shadow, but it was still nice to walk around. A few trees were in full bloom but most were just getting started, so should be even better next weekend.

Fresh spring leaves and a colourful, stormy sky go together nicely in this image of the Worcestershire countryside.

Spring means camellias! There are so many sizes and textures - I love the simple, waxy petals.

We have been getting some pretty heavy rain around here so of course water falling is in order. The mist from the powerful stream was hitting the sun rays making them quite visibly intense. Also the foam was creating pleasing streaks in the foreground.

Many thanks for yours visits and comments.

Its been nearly three months since I got back from Greenland and until this weekend I haven't had the drive or enthusiam to start shooting again.

But I joined a new group of South Australian photographers at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and had a really enjoyable day out shooting.

We are deep into Spring here - its getting warmer daily. Here a minah bird feasting on some native plants.

Spring flowers covered in an April snowfall from a couple of years back. It looks like we're going to be in for more of the same this year. The forecast for the first day of spring in Boston is yet another Nor'easter, with 10 to 14 inches of snow expected.

So for now, it looks as if my dream is a dream deferred.

everything is fine in spring, you have been waiting for it for so long

It now being spring at last, little clumps of these Eurphorbia have sprung up around the garden. Their acid yellowy green adds little pools of brightness, particularly in the shade. They may not be as showy as daffodils, but I prefer their subtlety.
