This shot is pretty much SOOC with very little adjusts from RAW to JPG. At least this version is SOOC, I'm thinking others may not be. I saw this from the road and the pink bush was really set off by the yellow Forsythia.

I ride past this field everyday when I ride my bike and I have been watching it get more intense in color...... this is the peek I believe!
One of my favorite times of spring is when the Iris bloom. How can an ugly little root produce such intricate and fragile flowers? I am forever amazed by mother nature!
One of my friends is expecting a little baby, so of course, we had to do some photos.

Spring in the Columbia River Gorge is a fleeting period of absolute beauty. To capture it, the weather, bloom timing and work/weekend schedules all need to align. Last night was one such time and I'm so happy to have made it out this year.
Some better evening light would have been nice, with a little more sun breaking through the clouds, but Hood was out and wind was mostly calm so I can't complain much.
Flowering Dogwood in my garden. On Friday, you might have thought Spring is finally here. No such luck. When I walked Orion this morning, it was 35F and we were pelted by b-b size snowballs and ice pellets. Brrrrr....
Colorado Springs, CO - The first real snow fall of the year and it's not even winter yet. One of the nice perks living here is that snow on the ground doesn't last long. You get the best of both worlds. It's nice to see, but you're not living in it for any lengthy period of time.
Santa Clarita in spring can be beautiful. For a brief month or two after the seasonal rains the dry landscape is transformed. I've never seen it like this before. The spring wildflowers were prolific that year in Santa Clarita. I was trying to capture this amazing scene; sometimes you come across a scene the captures your attention and sometimes your mood. I ran up the top of this little hill hopefully to capture the last rays of the sun. But circumstances wouldn't allow it and the sunset never came. But I didn't need one tonight. I love Santa Clarita in the spring.
Tomorrow starts in March, unfortunately no trace of spring. But it may soon look like this in our forests ;-)
Morgen beginnt der März, von Frühling leider noch keine Spur. So kann es aber bald in unseren Wäldern aussehen;-)
