The leaves in Mississippi are in full sprout mode. I love the fresh green, especially right at the close of winter after all those months of naked scraggly limbs. Nature tells a story, a story of survival and new beginnings. And I am convinced that, if there is a story, there is a story-teller.

My son at 25 december at Dubai. Hiting the sun back in the other direction. Happy we get longer days since then ;) :)

Winter holds a certain draw for me, but only temporarily. I suppose my thoughts echo those of many others.

I can already feel that that tiny change in the air that says spring's coming.

Mostly I'm just looking forward to walking outside without transforming into a human popsicle.

Macro of some very tiny springs, in real life they are about 1cm long

The southern slopes of the mountains have bare ground while there is still a lot of snow on the valley floor. In this photo near Bern, Idaho a little road cut traps snow in the wind and creates beautiful drifts. The mountains are the Preuss Range of the Rockies.

Spring sun has gone down below the horizon, but left a twilight glow behind.

This is what Spring looks like in Missoula...well I guess it's not quite Spring yet but it sounds good! lol.. Hope everyone is doing well...not too much going on here...work..work...work!! :P Have a great week ahead!! :)

The first flowers to appear in Spring, and bees love them.

Thank you for your visits comments and favs! :-)

Blossom on my wild cherry tree has been flowering for two or three weeks, which is covered in white now.

Spring reflections; one LED lamp. An alternative image of Spring. In Botticelli's "Primavera" only two figures are facing the viewers: the goddesses Flora and Venus. In this photo, Spring is seen from a different angle.

A carpet of snowdrops growing over the old, moss and lichen covered tombstones in Cadder Parish Church, as spring slowly starts to push winter away.

Daffodils are starting to bloom all over.

I had to wait for a few days for the conditions to be right to have some texture in the sky.

Here comes my contribution to fotosöndag's weekly challenge - spring.

Though at times it hasn't really been spring weather here this week....

... so decided to take a spring picture indoors. This was actually three shots (one for the actual daffodils, and two for the light painted flower which was my phone with a green or yellow screen)

Strobist info: One Godox AD200 at 1/4 power in a gridded square softbox directly over the daffodils. Exposure was 1/250s at f/14. The light flower was two shots (an 6s exposure for the green and a 1s exposure for the yellow). Flash triggered wirelessly.
