Due to the river Darent at Eynsford being rather high, the Ford is to deep to cross, and it is a challenge to even cross the bridge.
A whale splashes down in the Saint Lawrence River off Baie-St-Catherine, Quebec.

A splash of red food color in a shallow plate of clear water. I was playing around with a new toy I built last weekend. It's a sound activated flash controller that was set up to run my Nikon Speedlight running at 1/128th power (minimum power to get a really fast flash.)
I built version 3 of the circuit (I didn't order the kit, just ordered the components from Mouser) because I didn't want to mess around with trying to program a PIC. It took the better part of the weekend to build and troubleshoot, and I had to use nearly every piece of electronic gear I own. I wanted something to mess around with (photographically) while waiting for Maine to emerge from "Mud Season".
Petite journée splash avec arna35 et my web site : http://www.jeromlphotos.fr. Il ne manquait que Fabrice Lamarche. Une pensée pour toi Fab, tu nous a trop trop manqués !

Going through some very very old photos that I never got around to posting! This is from the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Washington State. These two guys were having a wonderful day splashing in the mud, along with their (very patient) mother who actually helped them run through the biggest puddles and then pose for pictures afterward!

"...
these words force you
to a new
madness.
you have been blessed, you have been pushed into a
blinding area of
light.
the elephant dreams
with you
now.
the curve of space
bends and
laughs.
you can die now.

Recently purchased a Splash Art kit from the UK and having all sorts of fun with it. Still getting my head around flash sync speeds and the controls but definitely a good investment for those rainy days and clear sky weekends. :)
Sketching Stuff Challenge: Splash Some Color
This time Charlie O’Shields walks us through his painting of a paintbrush with a background of splashed color. I went off on a complete tangent though. I happened to have splashed color all over some paper for another project, when I saw the challenge, and knew this was meant to be my answer to it. Instead of sketching before color was added, I looked at what I had splashed and decided it was a dragon breathing fire.

This is one where no matter what I did, it just never had the right light. Still, I like that splash.

Had fun splashing in the water today! Click on image to see in black! Accepted for the San Diego Fair 2011!
As a photographer, I love capturing spontaneous and natural moments of wildlife. This image shows a sparrow in the midst of a refreshing bath. The movement and splashing water capture the liveliness and joy of the moment. It is this authenticity and the beauty of everyday life that I aim to capture through my lens.
