A drop of water really does look ever so insignificant and the reaction it causes is over in a split second...forgotten in an instant. But when we take a second to examine it's effects closely, how amazing it becomes! Small, seemingly insignificant things that we do, really can have amazing and far reaching effects if we take the time to appreciate them.

This week’s theme for my 52 project is “Macro.” I had wanted to do some water drop macros a few months ago for the “water” theme, but I wasn’t able to. The Macro theme gives me an excuse to finally get around to them.
This is my second time doing water drop photography. I actually found it easier this time around. I used a leftover IV bag and tubing to create the water drops. This works very well as I have a lot of control over the speed of the water. I’m sure I’ll try these again as I’ve learned a few more things to change for next time around.
This is my alternate shot — a “splash” shot. I decided to use B&W for this one.
Photographing Champagne Splashes today. Shooting BB Gun into Ginger Ale today. Breaking the glass stopped the shoot.
Water splashes up against the jetty where Pews Creek empties into Raritan Bay. Contax IIIa, Imperiale Type S film (expired 1977), HC-110 Dilution G for 18 minutes.

Last month, we had some strong winds and that was nice as I managed to get some nice splash shots down at the rocks!!

Took my daughter out to jump in the rain puddles, with the idea of getting a fun splash shot. This is pretty much what I was going for!

Another snap of the West Pier at Brighton, this time using a slow shutter speed (1/50) to capture a little motion in the waves as they were crashing down!
The clouds were so grey yet the rain held off! Used the 0.6 soft GND filter to preserve definition in the clouds.
