"Sanderling Party Splashes" by Patti Deters. A small flock of five Sanderlings (Actitis macularus) is enjoying a refreshing group bath in shallow coastal waters, with droplets splashing around them. These cute little sandpiper shorebirds were seen bathing near the beach in the town of Rockport, Texas, USA. They appeared to be having fun and weren't at all concerned about being photographed during their "party". Thank you for viewing this picture. Attempt at catching the splash form a drop of water,done quite some time ago now. Glass dish filled with water on top of a chess board.

First I'm planning to drop strawberry or Grape or some plastic cube to make splash. But when i setting up for the shoot my family ate all the fruit that i'm planning to shoot and at the end i'm end up with lime. hahaha ... fail attempt anyway for first splash shoot.

I always wanted to add some motion to the glass ware photos and this time i was able to make one such shot. I captured this shot after 25 attempts. Took lot of time in cleaning the table and glass. Hope you all like it
Setup/Strobist info:

1. 1 bare YN 560 flash underneath the subject pointing at the wall @ 1/16 power.
2. Two black cards at either side of the glass to darken the edges of glass.
3. Some patience and multiple attempts :)
The last in this series of four water droplet photographs. I particularly liked this one for the reflection of the splash. The other three are shown below.

Using Splash Art Kit d using milk into a small cone shaped glass. I used three Nikon SB200 flash, one with a blue filter, one with a red filter and one with no filter. Resulting it this striking image.

All this splashing was actually quite noisy as part of the lake was frozen. He splashed for so long I wondered if he liked the noise of the ice cracking & breaking.
I almost never actually go on Splash Mountain, I hate the feeling of wet clothes sticking to my skin. I don't know how it happens so consistently, but I seem to always be the recipient of the drenching splashes, and it's never the big drop that gets me, it's always one of the two smaller drops.
