The effects in the water are from aluminum foil crumpled up. Speedlite 430EX ll from the rear behind frosted glass and Speedlite 580EX ll from the right with red gel. The splash has blue dye and there is green dye in the water.

Its an experimental one... I do not have any lighting equipment.. used sunlight and build in flash as my light source...

The water was splashing here every so often

I have no electonic wizardry to help get an image like this - so it becomes probably the most annoying image in the world to capture ! This is a drip onto water, bouncing up again and getting hit by the next drip on the way down. Advice on this one - just keep trying .... reckon I took in the order of 2000 images to get a couple like this.... speedlite on 1/32 power to freeze the action - time to move on now and try something else !!! (after I have cleared up the water mess on the carpet .... I fear the long suffering Mrs H will not be amused !!!!!)

"Sanderling Party Splashes" by Patti Deters. A small flock of five Sanderlings (Actitis macularus) is enjoying a refreshing group bath in shallow coastal waters, with droplets splashing around them. These cute little sandpiper shorebirds were seen bathing near the beach in the town of Rockport, Texas, USA. I tried several times throwing an acorn but it didn't work, and after an hour searching for some heavy and little thing to use i found a tiny tin soldier which was perfect for the experiment.

Rebeca nunca se había enamorado. Nunca antes de conocerle a él.

Ni siquiera cuando cruzaron las primeras palabras pensó en que acabaría una noche de invierno, sentada en el suelo de la cocina con una taza de café, comparando enamorarse con salpicar.

Pero su historia había sido así. Ella se había sentido completa y cuando él entró en su corazón había sido como si de golpe, se sumergiera un fenómeno extraño en una piscina de sensaciones, como si se tratara del experimento de Arquímedes. Y había salpicado fuera cosas que ella no habría querido perder.

Había sido tal y como lo imaginaba mientras miraba la taza.

Mario había entrado y todo lo que habitaba en el corazón de ella se había separado para dejarle paso, para que él ocupara un espacio que otras cosas ya no iban a ocupar.

Y poco a poco él se engrandecía absorbiendo todo y ella se vaciaba.

Como la taza de café, que un rato después de empezar a pensar, sólo tenía dentro un millón de lágrimas y algunos posos.

Playing with water is a pleasant game. The water splash looks like crystals.

Series of five. Splash Point is a wonderful area to view Kittiwakes. Unfortunately the winter storms have taken their toll. The white scar is a rockfall this winter, showing how unstable the white cliffs are. The Kittiwakes are having to find alternative nesting sites.
