Photographing Champagne Splashes today. Shooting BB Gun into Ginger Ale today. Breaking the glass stopped the shoot.
A splash of colour during a week of foggy Florida mornings and a few grey days :0)
Still the company was good, fun and lively which is more than can be said for the flight home crammed in with cold/flu carrying passengers :0(
Petite journée splash avec arna35 et my web site : http://www.jeromlphotos.fr. Il ne manquait que Fabrice Lamarche. Une pensée pour toi Fab, tu nous a trop trop manqués !

I managed to get an umbrellas shape after a while. The water was dies red with food die and i used two light blue flash gels on the backdrop to provide a little background colour. I used rinse aid to get a higher water bounce.
Gotta admit that whenever my Father helps me with taking pictures I always get what I want in the first attempt :)
Splash of Clarity
by Gregory Scott
In a storm of vibrant distortion, where violet lashes against emerald,
a single moment emerges—pure and unfiltered.
This is not chaos, but revelation in motion—
where clarity doesn’t arrive in silence,
but crashes in, bold and luminous.
Here, form dissolves into feeling,
and what begins as confusion becomes insight.
Color speaks before language,
and emotion lands like a sudden rain
—an unexpected splash that awakens the soul.
Biggest storm off the Sound so far this season. Fantastic splashes off of our bulkhead....
iPhone Camera+ app shot post processed on a Mac in Photos and Tonality.
Setup for the splash shots:
- A little fish tank in the middle (I got that cheap from Amazon)
- two flashes on the right and left side, shooting through paper pieces as diffusors
- two flashes placed in my bathtub shooting from underneath through the translum foil
- translum foil formed as some sort of transparent seamless background under the tank
Three flashes from Yongnuo, one Canon 430, all four RF triggered via Yongnuo RF triggers.
Camera on tripod with cable remote, adjustments cmp. EXIF.
Btw.: No light barrier involved, obviously this also works manually with some patience. :-)
