Some dream of getting a land speed record....... others stay awake and do it!!! Thunder Bob of www.metricthunder.com went out to the BUB Speedtrials and vidcast the teams and pilots out at the salt. Speed limits in Copenaghen, Denmark, are adviced by topless models ( www.speedbandits.dk ) who induce drivers to slow down.
In Denmark 7 out of 10 drivers exceed speed limits on a regular basis.
Second visit to the Speed. Had much more time (and all exhibit halls were open this time); I was incredibly impressed with this free museum and the great variety of valuable works from all over the world.

Raleigh Sports from the 1960's. It's a combination of 2 bikes that I got last year from the Ohio City Bicycle Co-Op. This is as faithful a rebuild as I can do. It's all original Raleigh parts and only missing the seat bag.

The late 2200s saw an influx of vintage 20th century muscle-inspired speeders, of which the Boomslang was no exception. Renowned for their high class (and high priced to match!) aeromobiles, Grant & Huxley's sole venture into the rougher, tougher side of the speeding industry was a surprising yet well received move.
Now a niche collectors' item, these machines are hard to source original parts for in the New Age. This posed no problem for Doppler Aero-Tuning, much to the horror of die-hard purists. Fitted with an entirely new rear end and an engine that in no way fits under the bonnet, they did away with all vestiges of class, and put go-faster stripes on to boot. Fasten your seatbelts kids, this one's quick, loud and aggressive!

This is a prop that was on display at the Memorabilia show at the NEC in Birmingham, England in 2006.
