This was taken at the Mertens Springnational Sand Drags in Kingman, Arizona. I take photos for the Route 66 Wings And Wheels and get to be right on the edge of the track.
I had no idea what to shoot for 'speed' that wasn't tired or hackneyed. This is the only interesting thing I could find this morning. Wind speed is still speed, right? Right?
My brother showed me a cool trick with the iPhone. Nope, this is not Photoshopped. We were traveling about 60mph in opposite directions, and I just snapped this out of the window.
