This photo already to the return to house, already being alone, and it is one of that always I have wanted to do, one long exposure to a suburban convoy. What happens is that my camera does not close more of F11, and nor still with ISO80 I could extend the exposure more than 1.5 seconds.

And while I was preparing the photo to post it, it crossed my mind “to see it” in B&W, and after I began to change levels to harden contrasts… and now I do not know which I like more, if the original version in colour or the B&W one. Which you prefer?

Not quite Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs, but close.

This didn't work out great, but it's good enough to post.

I always know I am in trouble when the .gif is better than the photo.

Just as a composition note, the cereal box is a photographed full size carton, reduced, printed and pasted to a wooden block.

I did this so I could use small glasses and bowls (from the thrift store) and thus have a set-up compact enough to light with my fast (but underpowered) flashes.

Cheers.

Some people prefer the slow speed approach to taking photos of waterfalls. I don't, I think high speed shutter photography captures the energy of the water better.

Although I do not support any of the teams Gary Speed has played for in his distinguished footballing career, the sudden news of his death came as a big shock to me, as he is a model pro universally respected by fans of every club.

Vintage 4x5 Speed Graphic camera by Graflex. I am anxious to try it out. I wonder if my digital camera will still work in 60 years?

Speed colour! Technically it’s a speed painting but I was really trying to do colour REALLY FAST BEFORE IT RAN AWAY.

I’m trying this thing where I mixing grays (with compliments, yo) and then add colour into the gray I need so that I don’t have to try to mix a colour to the value each time and so that I don’t go overboard with intensity. You have no idea how much gray is actually in each of these colours!

Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012) 2560x1440 rendered 8xCSAA - Racer_S Camhack (TOCAEDIT) / Sweetfx 1.4 custom

There is this story,

that once people knew,

that high speed is bad for you.

It says, that at the beginning of the

railway-era in the 19th century

some people were warning,

that the speed of a train

with at that time inconceivable 30km/h,

would definitely damage your body.

But people have forgotten this fact

and so they happily travel

with 900 km/h through the air,

whilst yawning themselves through

kingdom of boredom in 9000 meters

above ground.

Would they just know.

So speed is just a figure

and quite relative I guess.

It is how you perceive

which shakes life out of the sleeve.

So just imagine:

If you lie, after this “boring” flight

somewhere near the equator

in your beach chair facing east,

enjoying the seascape, a drink

and your holiday,

then just remember,

that you,

actually,

because of the earth-rotation,

are spinning with a speed of about 1600 km/h

through space,

on a big stone called earth,

which hurries with roughly 108 000 km/h

around the sun.

The sun again rotates around the center

of the milky way with whopping 900 000 km/h

so that it only takes about 240 million years

to travel once around.

This is then called a galactic year.

Our solar system is about 20 galactic years

old.

Quite young one could say, but also this

is relative.

A little bit giddy?

As said, all about perception it is.

So now just take another sip of your drink

and enjoy your time,

your moment,

...and your speed
