A clear Christmas ball filled with air being hit with a green paintball.
I am trying to get a feeling for these paint balls. Very fragile, a shot with a jello filled Christmas globe was a complete failure, the paintball atomized into a blurry mist.
Different stuff.

A7798C/S6046C is a bill that would preserve existing speed cameras near school zones while also expanding them to additional, high priority school zones where speeding is prevalent. Currently, A7798C/S6046C has bipartisan support in the state Senate and 33 co-sponsors. The bill has yet to reach the floor for a vote where only 32 votes are needed to pass any given bill. A7798C/S6046C passed the Assembly overwhelming in June 2017.

I just managed to get my camera ready for the Eurostar, as I was walking east of Ashford. Exposure was 1/400, but it would probably better with a slightly slower shutter. I like the way the fence in the foreground is in focus. :)
These boats brought us out to an island outside Pattaya, as there were no good (in my opinion) beaches on the mainland. Or actually, they brought others to the island. We decided to spend a bit more time (and less money) and took the ferry.

An officer works the computer in the Medford Police speed enforcement van along I-5 late at night. It's part of an ODOT/MPD work zone enforcement effort to slow drivers through the I-5 Medford Viaduct work zone. Highest speed recorded is 91 MPH in the 40 MPH work zone.

The Federated States of Micronesia is the Military Sealift Command joint high speed vessel USNS Millinocket’s (JHSV 3) second stop of Pacific Partnership 2015. Millinocket is serving as the secondary platform for Pacific Partnership, led by an expeditionary command element from the Navy’s 30th Naval Construction Regiment (30 NCR) from Port Hueneme, California. Now in its 10th iteration, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia Pacific Region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership, missions have provided medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary service to more than 38,000 animals. Additionally, Pacific Partnership has provided critical infrastructure development to host nations through the completion of more than 180 engineering products. This is a series of photo's i took while in Montana I spotted a water sprinkler spraying and took some shots on different speed settings.....

"That one? With the rust?"
"It'll clean up."
"And the mismatched engines, and the missing panels across most all of the thing?"
"Pretty sure the engines are a pair, just... yeah, it'll need some work. But you're looking at what it is, not what it could be."
"What I'm looking at is a deathtrap."
"Glass is always half empty with you, huh?"
"This glass is shattered and in pieces, lad. In fact, you'll note the lack of a cockpit canopy at all, glass or otherwise."
"Look, you've got to start somewhere. And why not here?"
"Hey, it's your decision in the end. Your credits. I just don't want it to be your firey death."
"You're all heart, old-timer. I think we can make it work."
"You think I can make it work. Still, I said I'd be your mechanic, so I guess I'd better prove I've still got the touch when it comes to racers."

So this was a pretty quick build, it may well be that some kind of racing speeders will form the next display I do. I wanted to try a narrative of sorts with this, starting from a junkyard scrapper, and gradually improving and refining until we get something sleek and advanced.
In terms of the build itself I've tried to go as greebly as I can for exposed engine bits, and fresh off my ADU builds I've put those spoiler parts back to work as intakes. Nothing hugely complicated here, but I'm satisfied with the skeletal appearance and think that it came out alright. Plenty of room to iterate on this.
I was trying to keep it as small as possible, it's about 18ish studs wide and long, so hopefully I'll be able to fit builds of that/similar size into this year's SHIP, which I'm envisioning as something of a mobile home/workshop/garage such as one might find on a Star Wars-inspired racing circuit series.
(I think I just want to build something that looks like a LMH/LMdH prototype racer but in space. Honestly, the Ferrari 499P already looks like a spaceship that just happens to have wheels!)
Well, look at that! Another sunny winter day in Kirkland. I couldn't resist taking a mid-afternoon stroll around the building. It was just too nice to pass up fresh air and a little bit of warmth from the sun.
