Sound system adding a little je ne sais quoi to the Public Sector Worker's Day of Protest on 30 November 2011. Large numbers of workers visited London to protest about proposed pension scheme reforms.
Just got back from a family trip to Branson MO. We went and saw the musical Noah and was blown away not only with the performance but with the theatre as well.
Photo for eBay (lot unsold) of the three weekly music papers we used to have in the UK. Now there are none, just the web to keep us up-to-date.
Old project I found that I had made in the 6h or 7th grade. I believe from plans from an Popular Electronics article. This was a popular sound chip used in toys & games. Radio Shack carried it back then. Interesting that I actully brought the project off of the breadboard and into a completed enclosure. Luckily I can solder a bit better these days. Does anybody remember the article?

Music is the organised consequence of sound and silence. Sound is an important means of communication for most of the animals. They produce various sounds in order to transmit different messages. Thereby, they manage to communicate day and night, even over long distances. Sonar communication is important for their survival, because it ensures invisibility for both the sender and the receiver of a message.
Furthermore, the dolphins use the sound as a means of echolocation. “In line segment transform processing, cumulative summation of match-filtered echo data from a given object, as perceived from different transmitter/receiver locations, yields an image of the object. A radar/sonar image can then be recursively constructed.”
Humans have replicated this method of echolocation to produce radar/sonar imaging systems.
Sound Spirits, Seattle WA 2010
Seattle's Micro Distillery (mini?)
Tried the vodka (excellent) and the gin (extremely good!!!)
While we were on the overnight sail in the Sound, we saw this Japanese luxury cruiseliner entering the Sound. It really shows the scale of Milford Sound, which, despite its name, is actually a fjord.
We saw the ship in the distance as she entered the sound, and thought it was a small cruiser... but it wasn't! :)
It really dwarfed our ship (the Milford Wanderer non-flickr link)
Photo A Day: March 13
As the red-tailed hawk swooped toward its kill on the forest floor, the only sound I heard was the wind. Its wings were silent as death.
This is two separate hawks on two separate days, giving me photos I'm very happy with.
Eight square-wave oscillators tuned by four knobs and triggered by two overlapping four step sequencers.

Sound Discord is a structural representation of an aural experience, specifically alluding to the precarious nature between sound and self. This is to say, what is and isn’t retained from an auditory situation. A misshapen collective of fragmented sound and image is thereby created from the remains of a larger happening.
Some nasty critters in those waters. Viewed from The Getaway bar and restaurant, Gandy Boulevard, St Pete.
Corellian Base and MidSouth Garrison members pose for a group photo during Star Wars Night at the Sounds.
The Sounds are quite notorious for their song "Hurt You" as seen on the Geico Motorcycle commercial starring the Cavemen [view it here]. From Skåne län, Sweden, this energetic female-led quartet has new-wave roots with indie pop overtones. As vocalist Maya Ivarsson proclaimed during their stay @ The Marquee in Tulsa, OK on 5/14/09, they play a lot of big shows but enjoy their own shows much more. So catch their headlining act before it's gone, as they are soon to open for No Doubt in a string of U.S. performances.
