The Sounders are a very popular MLS soccer club. At the time they were involved in a playoff series with Real Salt Lake. I was hoping to see the 2nd leg, but missed it by a day.

Sound nightclub in LA marks a return to the industrial rock n’ roll warehouse party, mashed up with cutting edge technology and audio features that set the bar for music driven nightclubs of the future. ICRAVE designed this space, which showcases a state-of-the-art A/V system, classic analog light shows, and a custom projection system that displays content in cages which run along the dance floor made of steel mesh wrapped scaffolding. The client’s original idea of a “black box” club evolved as ICRAVE drew inspiration from the building itself, a former warehouse-turned-theater. By accentuating the building’s existing structure, and incorporating materials like charred redwood and custom Caravaggio and Bosch paintings printed on canvas, burlap and suede, the space gives the impression of a burnt out baroque warehouse- with the most innovative sound system on Hollywood Boulevard.
"And if I listen to
the sound of white sometimes
I hear your smile
and breathe your light."

The choir sounds much better with microphones and such, so Jeffrey volunteers to run sound for the concerts. Here he's making sure all the cables are attached properly.

Don't you wonder sometimes
About sound and vision?
Blue, blue, electric blue
That's the colour of my room
Where I will live
Blue, blue
Pale blinds drawn all day
Nothing to do, nothing to say
Blue, blue
I will sit right down
Waiting for the gift of sound and vision
And I will sing
Waiting for the gift of sound and vision
Drifting into my solitude
Over my head
Don't you wonder sometimes
About sound and vision?

"Sound Mirrors" also known as "Acoustic Mirrors" at Denge near Greatstone and Dungeness. This is a former RAF site where in the late twenties and early thirties, experimental buildings were built to provide early warning of aircraft reaching Britain. The "ears" were designed to capture sound.
You can only get close to the Sound Mirrors on a couple of days a year. When we visited, a Sony crew were filming some kind of promotional video.
The Engage-TV van parked backstage. The larger truck behind it contained the control rooms from which the transmission was directed and pushed towards the TV network.

Tijdens de koude oorlog stegen dagelijks met veel gebrul Amerikaanse straaljagers op van Vliegbasis Soesterberg. The Sound of Freedom noemden omwoners het overweldigende geluid.
