What we hear has a lot more impact on our lives than we generally think. In fact, Bhakti Yoga wisdom informs us, “You are what you hear.” How is that? What we hear shapes our consciousness, our conceptions of who we are and what happiness is. Based on the quality of sound entering our ears we either identify ourselves as nonmaterial parts of the complete whole, or as the particular body and mind we have, which is like a reflection of our true selves. Being pleasure-seeking by nature, we then search for happiness and satisfaction according to our self-conception. Looking for pleasure in a reflection is obviously not going to be that satisfying, and similarly, trying to squeeze genuine happiness from our body in mind is full of contradictions and frustration. Those adept at spiritual science, therefore, encourage us to hear from the ultimate source of pleasure, Krishna, the sound of reality.
Deer Moor morning -there was a low frosty fog as we drove over the moor. The nearest group we saw had the sun behind them so the images were a bit hazy - lovely to spend time observing
them.
The crane-mounted camera hovering only a short range above the heads of the concert audience.

The Sound of Freedom noemden omwoners het overweldigende geluid.
Milford Sound
Milford Sound (Piopiotahi in Māori) is a fjord in the south west of New Zealand's South Island, within Fiordland National Park and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. It has been judged the world's top travel destination in an international survey, and is acclaimed as New Zealand's most famous tourist destination. Rudyard Kipling had previously called it the eighth Wonder of the World.
Milford Sound is named after Milford Haven in Wales, while the Cleddau River which flows into the sound is also named for its Welsh namesake. The Māori named the sound Piopiotahi after the thrush-like piopio bird, now extinct. Piopiotahi means "a single piopio", harking back to the legend of Māui trying to win immortality for mankind - when Maui died in the attempt, a piopio was said to have flown here in mourning.
Bandastic!!
A few weeks ago walking towards la Placa de Catalunya wonderful, melodious, soulful sounds I heard that made me feel like I was back on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
My feet were tapping, my head bobbing, my fingers snapping. I was drawn to sounds like a child led by the Pied Piper.
I followed the scent of the notes ...

Milford Sound is magical, but that was difficult for me to capture on camera. It is SO BIG, HUGE and UNIMAGINABLY BEAUTIFUL.
Everywhere you look is something amazing, whether it be a 1000' water fall, the sun striking the mountains in a spectacular way, or a sudden gust of wind picking a water fall up and preventing it from reaching the waters of the sound.
