Forty Four Sounds is a text based, sound collage, film work. The text was arrived at through a random selection of previously chosen words and phrases. The soundtrack was then composed from samples of forty four found sounds. There are 44 frames/prints and the video lasts for 4 minutes and 44 seconds.

The work and its process references Dada poetry and sound and the chance compositions of John Cage.

The work can be realised in a number of formats, as an installation of 44 digitally printed magnetic text panels and video or as separate elements, prints, video or sound. The ull video can be seen here

De todas las que hice al público, esta es la que mejor quedó, tengo que empezar a aprender a tirar fotos con el flash en bares ya que me gusta (y a no beber mientras las hago que luego pasa lo que pasa).

Espero que Ixeia no le imporate que la ponga aquí.

Me gusta fotografiar más al público que a los músicos por un motivo obvio: la cercanía. Uno se puede acercar a alguien y hacerle un foto a traición para que quede constancia documental del tipo de personas que acuden a este tipo de actos. Pero los músicos siempre están muy alejados, protegidos por vallas y guardias de seguridad que siempre te miran mal por si acaso. En este caso le hice la foto porque el móvil es el eterno compañero del festivalero, aunque no sirva de mucho: la mayor parte de las veces no escuchas ni las llamadas ni los mensajes y es muy difícil quedar con tus amigos. Yo me separé de Javi a las seis y no lo volví a ver hasta la una, pocos minutos antes de que empezara el concierto de los Pixies.

Tijdens de koude oorlog stegen dagelijks met veel gebrul Amerikaanse straaljagers op van Vliegbasis Soesterberg. The Sound of Freedom noemden omwoners het overweldigende geluid. Op de Internationale Dag van de Vrede 21 september, sluit de Vrede van Utrecht het grootse vieringsjaar af met Sound of Freedom. Niet met straaljagers, maar met een massale vredesmaaltijd, een spectaculaire reddingsoperatie van de Nederlandse Krijgsmacht én een groot vredesconcert onder leiding van het Metropole Orkest op de kruising van de landingsbanen.
