taken in blackwood canyon off of emerald bay road or HWY 89 in north lake tahoe, just north of homewood and south of Tahoe City and about 10 miles in on the well paved road!

I also picked loads of queen anne's lace that were going to seed....soo cool!

Built in honour of Canada's centennial in 1967, Astrolabe Theatre was built as a viewpoint for Parliament Hill's sound and light show. Today, this outdoor facility is used for various summer festivals and concerts. It is now in need of a complete rebuild.

Milford Sound by Louise Huntley

I was more impressed with Milford Sound than I expected to be. It is usually portrayed with blue skies and still waters, but 90% of the time, clouds, mist and rain is the norm. Personally I think it only added to the majesty and drama of the place.

I wasn't seated on the side of the train facing Puget Sound, but a pair of seats that were went unoccupied during the trip. That gave me the opportunity to make the follows images. The red in the lower left-hand corner is the reflection of a shirt worn by the passenger in the seat ahead of me.
