There is no indication that Jane Austen had pets, but many of her characters had dogs. I named this dog Elliot, the last name of Anne Elliot, the main character in Jane's novel "Persuasion."

Skippy Snacks not so much snacks, more of a full time occupation for this hungry little fellow found in North Carolina.
Since retirement, mid morning snacking, mid afternoon snacking, late night snacking, and lets face it, around the clock snacking has become a lot easier. Most of these snacks take a tasty, but unfortunately unhealthy turn. So my wife and I have pledged to try for more healthy options. One of them being unshelled, unsalted peanuts. It gives your hands something to do, tastes good, fills you up, and is a much better option than a bag of chips, cookies or a fried sandwich.
