A simulation of a physical wind tunnel airplane model (the NASA Common Research Model), widely used for CFD benchmarking and analysis. Boeing researchers recently used OLCF resources to perform simulations that would aid them in identifying and reducing uncertainty in a computational turbulence model called the Spalart–Allmaras model. Quantifying the uncertainty in predictive models provides a measure of confidence that may eventually accelerate the time to certify new aircraft and reduce cost.

Simulation day at #CityCollegeFTL! We conducted a scenario involving a mass casualty situation with five victims, in which students from several programs participated. The results were outstanding! The medical assisting students came to the aide of one victim and called the EMS team to take over. The most severe patient was taken to the operating room for surgery, with the anesthesia and surgical technology students. Amazing work was done by our students.

These are reference images I'm using to test my new Velvia 100 RVP Film Simulation presets.
It's pretty well nailed down. With DMAX increases to Greens and Reds, and careful attention to how Velvia F used to make Reds orange and Yellows green, I made the adjustsments to reflect with known parameters of Velvia 100 RVP.
Like RVP, lighting conditions, exposures and subjects work differently with this simulation, but I used this reference set of 16 images to really stress test the preset.
In some cases, only two of the sliders need to be adjusted to suit the shooting conditions which are Exposure and White settings.
White balance needs to be adjusted manually. RVP tends to have a coolish tendency to it's images (which kind of makes sense because projector lights tended to be warmer.
White balancing with this preset requires you find your optimal results and then pull back towards cool just a little bit.

Next to the model is a simulation of the lookout glass of the captain's cab with a view of the landing deck of the ship with video screens playing videos with sound of landing and taking off aircraft both by day and by night. After a couple of minutes, it does feel as though you are looking at the real thing. (Washington DC, USA, Oct. 2006)
After half of the campus went missing a few days ago now it has been returned, but it needs to be reseeded and built back upon. When it crashed into the ocean everyone was washed away!
