We were trying to understand how to photograph fireworks, and we came across the concept that the length of the exposure doesn’t matter — it won’t be over-exposed as each firework is fast-moving. So we tried it with Kate’s torch.

Hier handelt es sich um einen Vario-Aufstecksucher aus den 1960er/70er Jahren, hergestellt in der damaligen Sowjetunion. Gedacht für die Simulation unterschiedlicher Objektivbrennweiten an KleinbildKameras mit schlichten Durchguckfenstern nach dem Leica-Prinzip, unter anderen die russischen FED und Zorky-Imitate.
NB: Die jahrzehntelang führende Reporterkamera Leica (Made in Germany) litt letztlich unter demselben Darstellungsdefizit und zu meiner Berufsanfangszeit wählte man schon unter japanischen SLRs
