I die cut SSS Peeking Daisy from a silver die cut circle & mounted it to a square die cut from a wc panel smooshed with layers of DI peacock feathers & evergreen bough. The gray panel was dry embossed & the PRS sentiment was stamped in Versafine Morning Mist. I added dots of Silver Pico Embellisher & used it to fill the center of the daisy. SSS Spots and Dots challenge. This is my very poor attempt at a no bulk shaker card. I used the Baloon die from SSS. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.The small sequins are from Martha Stewart and the larger ones are from Michaels.

In today's video I'm sharing on my blog; I'm stamping flowers with Distress Inks to get a lovely soft watercoloured look. This technique is quick and easy and yet packs a powerful punch!

You may well know if you have been around here for a while, but I have a love of watercolouring and I'm excited to use any medium from inks to pencils, to pens and to artist quality tube watercolours. I must admit, having the artist watercolours in their palette next to me, I often reach for these first. However, in doing so I rob myself of a learning experience using other media. Today, I chose to reach for my tins of Tim Holtz mini Distress ink pads 😃

This card takes part at the SSS Flickr Challenge #9. I used the SSS stamp set "Cupcake Party" and the MFT "High rise numbers" for this card.

There's something about a little bit of sparkle combined with script fonts at this time of year! The beautiful Simon Says Stamp set was perfect for heat embossing and then watercoloring over the top before piling on the sequins 😀

For this card, I used the Lined Trees from Simon Says Stamp and a sentiment die from My Favorite Things and a lot of glitter paper. I also added some Nuvo Glitter drops for snow. I'm entering this into the current SSS Flickr Challenge - Christmas.

I have a video up today sharing this Distress Oxide ink blended background inspired by Kristina Werner's series. This colour combination knocked my socks off when I saw it and had to give it a go!

How about a simple, vintage-inspired butterflies watercolour card today? My love of a muted colour palette is still going strong 😂 This card uses a new set from Simon Says Stamp which is part of their Blossoms & Butterflies release which went up today. Oh, and the watercolouring of these butterflies was inspired by the amazing Dawn of Wplus9 - her watercolouring of a butterfly back in 2014 set me off on my own watercolour journey and I can't thank Dawn enough for introducing me to watercolouring and sharing her mad skills with us ❤️🎨

I absolutely love the backgrounds from Simon Says Stamp and the Cosmos background stamp is no exception! Here I embossed the stamp and smushed four different Distress Inks; Mermaid Lagoon, Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet and Festive Berries on a slick surface, sprayed with water and dragged my cardstock through it 😊 Cut the piece into the shape and used a border die to hide the seam. The sentiment is from Greetings Mix 1, also from SSS.

Valentines Card

Made this with the SSS Ornate Ornaments stamp and die set. Sentiment is from an old SSS stamp that is no longer available. Adding this to the SSS flickr challenge #163.

It is good to break out of old habits occasionally, and what a better way to do that than to paint some cute critters for a change! I mean, how cute are these wee guys from the new Love Day set! I really went to town with the animals with hearts and presents sparkling and the two hearts extra glossy with two layers of Glossy Accents. All the details to help bring this cute card together.
