Join me for a blog hop today celebrating the new @simonsaysstamp release! Although I'm enjoying getting back to my love of florals, I'm still finding the winter is inspiring moody colour schemes! This card was inspired by a blouse I have with khaki background and white daisies with blue centres and black leaves. I'm always looking at how I can use my supplies with paints and the beautiful new Peony stencil had me reaching for my white gouache. The fun part is that Kristina's card was inspired by CeeCee from CreationsCeeCee so this is almost like a chain with one person being inspired by another 😃

it is rather gray and dreary here in the pacific northwest so I thought I would make a bright and cheerful card using the SSS spring blooms stamps and dies. the sentiment is from the SSS friendship blooms set. love the newly released spring flowers 2 so hopefully one day I will be able to add that to my collection! I colored everything with my ZIG markers. finished the card with a few yellow sequins.

I do love keeping things simple, two kitties stamped together and then watercoloured. A little colour around them to set the scene and done. I also love this sentiment which I cut apart from a longer version on the stamp set. I think we all need time to pause/paws at the moment.

Alcohol inks are just too fun! Made this card using red, pink and yellow inks on Yupo paper, then used the SSS Flower Swag and I Love You dies. I'm entering this in the latest Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge, "Anything Goes!"

Finally made something with the June SSS card kit. I always seem to be a "day late and a dollar short" when it comes to using my kits, lol! I used my ZIGs to color the image after stamping it in VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne on smooth Bristol. Added some sequins for sparkle.

I used the color combo from the SSS IG June challenge to make this card for SSS Flickr 212 www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/721577219187... using my MFT Rectangle Extraordinaire stencil with VersaMagic Thatched Straw & Persimmon. I've always used painter's tape to mask off a rectangle for ink blending, but gotta say--the stencil worked great! There's a photo of it in my photostream. I dry embossed with one of my favorite folders: SSS Refracted. The sweet blooms are SSS Cosmos Stem which I inked with PTI Tropical Teal. I have a million colors of Stickles Glitter Glue & the Aqua was perfect for the centers. SSS Painted Hugs was die cut 3 times & I covered the top layer with shimmer & Nuvo Glaze. All the hearts today for the first card kit of 2018 from Simon Says Stamp ❤️ 😃 Sorry for the poor photos today. I got the kit yesterday and made this card but ran out of light and then we had my daughter's guinea pig at the emergency vet last night and will be back at the hospital with her again today so I had to resort to my video lights. Simple watercoloured blocks are the perfect backdrop for stamped images. The colours of the blocks speak volumes, supporting the theme of each of the four seasons, in my own muted palette way of course! I've got a video for this card too and I hope you'll call by to take a look :D
