Hi, all, I'm sharing a birthday card I made for the #sssflickrchallenge. I wanted it to look like a picture on the wall. I used the inlay technique for the #sss Sailboat die

The current #simonsaysstamp Monday challenge gave me the chance to use this @heroarts Martini die I've had for a while. I cut all the pieces from different colors of SSS cardstocks. As I write this, it occurs to me that I don't think I've ever had the real thing 🙀🍸. Say what? Maybe I should remedy that.

My card, with video, today is part of a blog hop organised by Lea Lawson in memory of her son, Layton, to raise funds for parents with a child in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Please call by and join in this fundraiser and card drive for a great cause. There over 30 sponsors joining the event with great prizes to give away and lots of inspiration too based on the moodboard Lea created for Layton's nursery and the theme of encouragement. I was inspired by the hop graphics to create this shadow box card using dies from Simon Says Stamp 😃

Leaves and berries are right up there with my favourites to paint. However, I often struggle with red berries; their richness and warmth don't always fit into my muted, slightly grungy colour palette. However, lush purple berries combined with blue-green leaves - now we are talking!

Made an edge to edge shaker card from some leftover flowers and an embossed panel. I used the blossom field embossing folder and the happy birthday die - both from #simonsaysstamp along with some die cut flowers from #spellbinders

I have a video up today of this fruitilicious background pattern inspired by Pinterest and bonus this card was relatively quick to put together too! The only downside was I only had a red grapefruit at home when I was taking the pictures 😂

I had such fun playing with gilding flakes after taking Online Card Classes's Sparkle and Shine Class this week. It's my new favourite technique and so I'm entering this card in the latest Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge! I used the gorgeous leaf cluster die from SSS plus an older stamp from Hero Arts!
